How do I generate a report?
Click the “Generate Report” button on the dashboard. A modal appears where you select sections and a date range. Click “Generate & Export PDF” to download immediately, or “Save Report Only” for later.
Can I use my own logo and branding?
Yes. Settings → Report Branding lets you upload your logo, pick your accent colour, enter your company name and tagline. All PDFs use your branding.
Is it compliant with POPIA and GDPR?
Yes. IP collection can be disabled. Activity log entries are auto-anonymised when a WordPress user is deleted. Integrates with WordPress Tools → Export/Erase Personal Data. Suggested privacy text is provided.
How does the auto-update system work?
Self-hosted update system. Your site checks our server every 3 hours. Updates appear in Dashboard → Updates like any other plugin. Force-check is available from plugin settings.
What data does the plugin log?
Logins, logouts, user creation/deletion, role changes, post/page changes, plugin/theme updates, WordPress core updates, settings changes, media uploads, comments, menus and taxonomy — over 30 event types. Each event records user, timestamp, severity and version transitions.
How long are logs kept?
By default 90 days. Configurable to 30, 60, 90, 180 or 365 days in Settings → Data & Maintenance. Old entries are cleaned up daily.
Does the plugin slow down my site?
No. Activity logging uses WordPress hooks that fire only when events occur. No frontend impact — the plugin runs in the admin dashboard. PDF generation happens on demand.
Is there a REST API?
Yes. Endpoints at /wp-json/adorn-reports/v1/ for activity logs, reports, statistics and settings. Authentication via WordPress nonce or application passwords.
Can I set the TM contract renewal date?
Yes. Set it in Settings. Appears on every PDF report. Within 2 months of expiry shows in an orange urgent box. If expired, a renewal prompt is shown.
Can the plugin email reports to clients?
Yes. v1.10 added a full email-send flow. Click Email Report on the dashboard or a saved report row, then enter recipients, subject and body (HTML allowed) in the modal. Placeholders like {site_name}, {period} and {company} are filled in automatically. The PDF is attached. Delivery goes through WordPress mail, so any SMTP plugin already installed (WP Mail SMTP, FluentSMTP) handles the transport.
Does it scan plugins for security vulnerabilities?
Yes. The Security tab integrates with WPScan’s CVE database. Paste a free WPScan API token (wpscan.com/register) into Settings → Security Scanning, and the scanner walks every installed plugin and theme, surfacing CVE titles, severity (Critical / High / Medium / Low) and links to each advisory. A daily cron keeps results fresh; you can also click Rescan Now.
Can I choose which sections appear in the PDF?
Yes — from v1.11.8 the report builder modal’s toggles actually control the PDF output. Three switches: Updates & Plugin / Theme Status, Site Content, and Server & Environment. The choice is saved with the report, so re-exporting the same report’s PDF keeps your original selection.
